Liposomal / Nano Formulas

If you want to enhance your existing product with Nano/Liposomes you have come to the right place. There are four main ways you can increase absorption of your formula with Liposomes/Nano and thereby enhance the marketability of your formula.

  1. Liposomal / Nano Liquid Emulsion:
This is the gold standard in the creation of Nano/Liposomal delivery where the Liposomes can be measured prior to ingesting them. Works with any form of nutrients that can be dissolved in water or oil. Most notably, with this method you can suspend hydrophobic (oil based) nutrients in water (examples: Vitamin A, D, K, E, CoQ10, Sam-E, essential oils and more). We use our inhouse High-Pressure Homogenizer (HPH) IDEX M815, pictured below, for this process. In this system we first create an emulsion, mix it with the actives and then send it through the HPH. Depending on the emulsion and how often we send it through the HPH we can end up with particle sizes from 50 to 1000 nanometers. We can completely control the particle sizes from below 100 nm to above 250 nm for example or a mix of a range of sizes. We write a lot about this method below. For this gold standard process, we use our High-Pressure Homogenizer (HPH) IDEX M815.
Ideal for Liquids. Allows Control of Particle Size.

  2. Liposomal / Nano Cyclodextrin:
We could turn the above-described homogenized emulsion with actives into powder by using cyclodextrins. This process enables us to encapsulate the powder into a capsule.
Ideal for Capsules. Allows Control of Particle Size.

  3. Self-Emulsifying Drug Delivery System (SEDDS and SMEDDS):
With this system the lipid component in SEDDS helps to dissolve the nutrient/drug and enhance its solubility, while the surfactant and co-solvent help to stabilize the emulsion. We have developed a phospholipid blend called PhosKey that works in synergy with our Sunflower Lecithin Blend to achieve ideal SEDDS. Considerable amount of research has been conducted in this area.
Ideal for Solid Dosages (capsules & tablets). Economical.

  4. Micronization:
Micronization increases the surface area of the powder particles, which in turn improves their interaction with the surrounding fluid and allows for better dissolution and dispersion. This improved solubility and dispersion can lead to increased absorption of the active compounds present in the botanical powders when they are ingested. Micronization creates very small particle size of down to 1 micron. This method can be used together with SEDDS)
Ideal for Insoluble Powdered Nutrients Like Botanicals.

Liposomal Formulas

We utilize our High-Pressure Homogenizer to deliver the best quality products for you. Our expert chemist is also available for formulation and will scale your formulation up for production. It’s an advantage to formulate and manufacture at the same facility because once the formulation is made it may not scale - and this saves you time and money.

Our professional team is here to help you get liposomes working to your advantage. We take your concerns and goals into the picture, including your budget. We can increase both absorption and speed of absorption of your formula and help you gather medical data to prove your system works.

Cost of Liposomal Formulations

Like with everything you do in your business you need to do a cost benefit analysis prior to launching your first Liposomal Formula. We have never seen the cost be higher than the benefit of marketing a liposomal formula.

While Liposomal Formulas are more expensive, the benefits are far more enticing to your customers. This results in your advertising dollars becoming more effective whenever you use the word “LIPOSOMAL FORMULA” in your advertising and labeling.

Why Nano?

Nanoemulsions come in handy when you want to increase absorption. As a rule of thumb, a nanoemulsion is 10X more effective. Many doctors see a decline in patients when they no longer have access to nutrients delivered through an IV. They therefore often recommend Nanoemulsions. The body can absorb nanoemulsions extremely fast; the effects can sometimes be felt before you swallow! Now that’s SUPER absorption!

What are nanoemulsions, liposomes, colloids?

Liposome

Liposomes are generally defined to be 100-1000 nanometers in diameter.

Nanoemulsions

Nanoemulsions are less than 100 nanometers.

Colloid Mixture

A colloid is a mixture that has particles ranging between 1 and 1000  nanometers in diameter, yet are still able to remain evenly distributed throughout the solution.

Is Nano Good for Business?

Yes! It makes perfect business sense to use Nanoemulsions when you are marketing high-end products that contain expensive ingredients. Besides, have you heard the term “differentiate or die”?

What is a Nano?

Nano is short for “nanometer” which is a unit prefix meaning "one billionth". Used primarily with the metric system. This prefix denotes a factor of 10^−9 or 0.000000001. It is often encountered in science and electronics for prefixing units of time and length.

Smaller is Better

Our State-of-the-art Nanotechnology creates millions of particles that are so small they could fit on the head of a needle. These tiny particles go right into your bloodstream to be distributed to every cell. This means your body will quickly absorb the nutrients, often bypassing the digestive system.

Our Liposomes are Built Better! 🤔 How?

Steeper Distribution Curve

You want to provide your clients with the most reliable product. One with reliably high efficacy and potency.  You get that from a product that has nanoparticles of the same size. Particle size uniformity is important because this increases absorption and efficacy.

Quality is Key!

We use a high powered Microfluidizer (High Pressure Homogenizer) to create your highly absorbable nutritional products. Most companies try to cut costs by using lower quality titanium probes, but that leads to titanium shedding which mixes with the solution compromises the purity. At NanoNSM, we only use the best quality tools to ensure your product is the purest.

High Pressure Homogenizer

Only work with GMP certified factories that use high-pressure homogenizers. We use a high-powered Microfluidizer (a High-Pressure Homogenizer) to create your highly absorbable nutraceuticals. At NanoNSM, we only use the best quality tools to ensure your product is the purest, most reliable, safest, effective, and potent.
